I’m really proud of both books because they allowed me to explore the two areas of the monster genre that I really like: zombies and gigantice creatures. Axiom-man/Crimson Cloak: Scarlet Synergy Coming Soon

For those who read this past Saturday’s newsletter, you know I had an Axiom-man novelette that I needed to do something with. Well, the decision has been made and this week I’ve been expanding it into a longer adventure team-up story.

THE AXIOM-MAN SAGA in terms of the main series features Axiom-man in solo adventures whereas the team-up stories are side tales.

AXIOM-MAN/CRIMSON CLOAK: SCARLET SYNERGY is one of them.

What you see above is the cover, that is, what the cover looks like before it’s made into an official book cover. All covers to THE AXIOM-MAN SAGA are designed by me then the crude sketch is handed over to Axiom-man cover artist Justin Shauf for pencils and inks.

My hope with this cover is to do something different in terms of superhero covers and it’s all in the coloring. I’ve never seen it done before but I think it’s a unique concept that can be pulled off. Stay tuned.

Due to book production time, this won’t be released before 2023’s clock runs out but look for it early in the New Year.

Status Report – 092122

Status Report – 092122:

Yesterday, I went to press on GIGANTI-GATOR DEATH MACHINE. Right now the printer is processing the files. My team member and I hit at snag on the eBook side of things so I’m in touch with my printer as to what to do. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. The main thing is the print copies turn out all right for Winnipeg Comic Con at the end of October. I can fiddle with the eBook side of things until then.

Why am I having eBook trouble? It’s simple, really. The old way of how I did things doesn’t work for me anymore so I’m looking into new ways to distribute my eBooks from one central location. An eBook hub, as it were. Eventually all my titles will get migrated over but until then, I’ll be doing this new system with new books going forward.

In other news, I barely slept Monday night, worked yesterday, but got a full night’s sleep last night. Still feeling the cobwebs, however, so I’m going to cut this one short.

First Edition Undead World Trilogy Going Out of Print

First Edition Undead World Trilogy Going Out of Print.

Like I said I would mention when the time came, the first editions of my Undead World Trilogy (Blood of the Dead, Possession of the Dead, Redemption of the Dead) are going out of print as of today. My distributors will be notified and in the case of eBooks, the files will be pulled down. You have maybe a couple days to load up on copies but that’s about it. Please grab them now because this is the last chance. (I will leave the thumbnails up in my Book and Comic Shop until the switch-over when the new ones come out.)

The new editions for all three books in the Undead World Trilogy will be out soon enough and there will be info on the blog when that time comes.

Thank you for supporting these first editions, whether that was back when they first came out or just recently.

Recap Tunnel: 10 Accomplishments from the Past Decade

Welcome to Recap Tunnel: 10 Accomplishments from the Past Decade.

Recently, there was a thing going around on-line where you listed or said your accomplishments over the past decade.

Here are ten of mine in no particular order:

1) Published Canister X Comix Nos. 1 – 3
2) Celebrated ten years of Axiom-man with the Axiom-man: Tenth-anniversary Special Edition (which includes a bonus short story, intro by A.P. Fuchs, and an essay)
3) Was obscenely sick and had to go into obscurity for a season before coming back from the dead
4) Co-ran a Kickstarter campaign with Auroraman creator Jeff Burton. This birthed Axiom-man/Auroraman: Frozen Storm in paperback, eBook, and a limited lettered hardcover edition
5) As part of Project Rebirth, I launched a new channel on YouTube
6) Did a whole ton of conventions and book signings
7) Closed down the traditional publishing side of Coscom Entertainment and got back to publishing only my own work through this label (which I invented in the dark ages during high school)
8) Made some massive changes to my personal life and lived to tell the tale
9) Also as part of Project Rebirth, I launched a Patreon page that’s filled with a ton of content like a serial novel, videos, patron-only blog posts, essays, and behind-the-scenes secrets
10) Moved into a new studio space

There was a lot more that went down but I’ve probably talked about some of those things elsewhere on the blog or somewhere online or maybe in an interview. So here we are: Decade done. Time for a new one.

Lots of plans are in place for 2020 and beyond.
