Axiom-man: Transformations is Off to Press

Yesterday, Sunday morning, I sent the second book in the BATTLE OF POWER Trilogy, AXIOM-MAN: TRANSFORMATIONS, off to the printer. I also uploaded the various eBook versions needed for my eBook distributors (this was talked about in this past weekend’s newsletter).

Already some of the eBook listings have started to pop up online. Once the paperback lists too, then I’ll do an official launch of the book and its delegated page here on the website.

As for the final installment, AXIOM-MAN: NEW DAWN, as of this blog entry I just got it back from the editor so the next task is to go through the edits before beginning the production procedure, which involves a final read-through. The cover art is also done. It just needs the design and layout.

What’s great about a superhero series like this is once your design is settled upon–like in the first book, AXIOM-MAN–you just carry it over to the next then the next, etc. No need to think of new fonts or anything like that except for the title of the adventure, which is quite easy.

Really excited for you guys to read TRANSFORMATIONS. Straight off, I’ll tell you the title is the plot. Ahhh, off to press.

Kickstarter / Indiegogo Coming Soon

Kickstarter / Indiegogo Coming Soon

If you’re a reader of my newsletter, THE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION, you know there’s a Kickstarter coming up for a very special item, and if you are a newsletter reader, you already know what that item is. (Newsletter readers always get announcements first. An inside perk for being a subscriber.)

I will refrain from public disclosure for the next short bit because today, according to UPS, this item will be arriving here at the Central for inspection. If indeed all is well, expect a formal Kickstarter announcement relatively soon. If things aren’t well, then some more time will be needed hence the quasi-vaguery of this post, but I wanted to give you a heads up that a Kickstarter is on the horizon for March (ideally) otherwise April, depending on when Kickstarter approves the project.

The good part about this upcoming Kickstarter is the item will be produced regardless of outcome. The crowdfunding is intended to be an opportunity to pre-order this item along with other perks otherwise unavailable in the future.

It should also be noted that as of this moment, the plan is to have the item available on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

Summer 2024 Content Schedule

Summer 2024 Content Schedule

Since we’re now heading into summer, this is just a quick announcement to say that the content on this site won’t be as regular as usual, likewise for my other social platforms. The big reason is we’re on major deadline for the BATTLE OF POWER Trilogy for THE AXIOM-MAN SAGA, the second-biggest reason being I have some holiday time coming up and that will take away from entertaining you guys and, in the interest of self-care, it’s a good idea for me to just produce on a casual basis until the fall.

We all need to recharge our batteries now and then.

But, again, don’t worry. There will be content, but following the YEAR SEVEN model of fluidity versus a stringent schedule.

Be sure to check back here often. You never know what might pop up and catch your interest.

All right, folks, listen up. I’m late to the party but horror authors Brian Keene and Mary SanGiovanni opened up a comic and book store in Columbia, PA called Vortex Books and Comics.

If you’re in the area, head down and support a couple of writers displaying their passion for the written word through sharing books and comics with others.

Brian has been a long-standing figure in the field and has won numerous awards. Mary is also a prolific author with several books under her belt. I know that this store effort is going to be one fueled with passion and opportunity to reach readers in a way that perhaps they might not have been reached before. Better, it’s an independent author-friendly store with little-known quality titles awaiting discovery.

I’m really excited to see where this bookstore endeavor goes, and Brian’s no dummy. I trust his business sense to make the store a success. And besides, I’m pretty sure Mary will keep him in check should he smoke too many cigars and starts talking about how he just met The Defenders.

We’re all set. Everything’s on track. My new poetry collection about the truths of life, CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS, should be out end of May/early June (depending how fast the distributor processes everything).

The above image is not the actual cover but just a snippet to whet your appetite.

I’m excited about this one. It’s dedicated to the late Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip.

He wrote a lot about life. Told a lot of stories. This collection is meant to honor that legacy and practice.

Maybe somewhere Gord is proud. Or maybe he’d ask me what the heck do I think I’m doing. Har har.

While true we have our online superhero and monster merch shop on Zazzle, we’ve been also been working on unique items behind the scenes.

I’ve already ordered one of these many items.

All this and more will be available through this site and the Official Axiom-man website when it launches.

It’ll take time but it’s getting done. Only so many hours in the day.

Soon, Fredrikus is coming at ya in a way he’s never done before. What is it, you might ask? Well, just wait and see, dear reader. But I can assure you it’s an experiment in the comic medium and I’m bringing Fredrikus along for the ride.

In the meantime, please check out the Official Fredrikus Webcomic about an down-and-out anthropomorphic dog in a dystopian sci-fi world.

Scarlet Synergy Paperback Heading into Distribution

It’s official: The paperback of AXIOM-MAN/CRIMSON CLOAK: SCARLET SYNERGY has been approved at the printers, which also means it’s been approved for distribution.

The release date is set for April 5, 2024. My hope is all will be online tomorrow and we can launch. The book is already appearing in places like Kindle and Nook for pre-order. Soon, the paperback will join them.

For those of you who like to order direct from me, I’m not 100% sure as yet when I’ll be getting copies in. Need to look at some logistics first and time my order for both quantity and savings.
