  • Heavy Broadcast Mode Initiated – Welcome to Winter

    November Winter Tree
From outside the window this morning.

Awhile back I decided that November 1, 2019, would mark the day I officially went into winter hibernation mode aka Heavy Broadcast Mode. My work plate is mighty heavy and I need to keep my head low and just get things done. That said, I will be off the social feeds until spring. However, that doesn’t mean my feeds will be an empty desert. I’ll be broadcasting social content to you from here at the Central, but if you need to interact, please send me an email as I won’t be checking PMs.

One of the major tasks I need to do this winter is overhaul the website. The content will remain but the programming language is dated and I need to bring things up to speed if I’m to stay relevant as we progress down the Timeline of All Things. The aim is to do that this weekend, so if you come by the site between now and next week, don’t fret if things look in disarray. I’m hoping for a smooth transition and nobody is none the wiser, but I’ve also been around Web stuff long enough to know glitches happen when all you want to do is execute what is supposed to be a simple procedure(s).

Today also marks the beginning of a new month, which means a new month starts up on my Patreon page, in turn opening the gates for new chapters in my ongoing serial novel, Gigantigator Death Machine, essays, behind-the-scenes stuff, and more. Please join me and my other patrons as we embark on November’s journey by going here.

What is all this winter stuff I keep talking about? I don’t want to give away all the surprises, so I’ll give you a vague summary instead:

    • Plan for the 2020 convention/book signing season
    • Bring projects old and new up to speed
    • Release new book(s) and comic(s)
    • Build up the YouTube channel
    • Deliver solid content on Patreon
    • Partially rebuild the media machine
    • Engage in interviews through various channels
    • Try not to die from overworking

    There. Straight forward. Just work.

    Enjoy the weekend.

    A.P. Fuchs on Patreon

I have officially joined the world of Patreon!

  • A.P. Fuchs Now on MeWe

As previously mentioned, I’m trying to stay away from mainstream social media due to my disagreement with how some of the majors handle privacy (that, and it’s also become a cesspool of whining and negativity). So, I have joined MeWe. My page has just started and can be accessed by going here or via the MeWe logo under the Social Media section on the right.

    Join me.

  • Up Around the Bend: What is Coming

I’ve been very busy behind the scenes here at Axiom-man Central. Presently, I’m working on PROJECT REBIRTH, which is my master plan to get things going again writing and publishing . . . and cartooning? Yes. As part of my grand comeback, I’ve decided to get back into the world of comics because it was comics that got me started down the book path and everything else I’ve done since. There are plans. There is work being done. Rebuilding what was lost is taking place at a steady rate. Healing that which was broken is also taking place. Applying lessons from the past both professionally and personally is also occurring.

    Bottom line: Lots is happening.

Some of what you can expect coming from up around the bend:

    – Resumption of my newsletter, The Canister X Transmission

    – A Patreon account with special content just for patrons

    – Order fulfillment of the Axiom-man/Auroraman: Frozen Storm Kickstarter (if you missed the Kickstarter, the published book is available on the left)

    – Publication of projects that were temporarily put on hold when life went to crap

    – Bigtime expansion and growth of The Axiom-man Saga and associated products

    – Revving up public appearances and media again

    – New YouTube channel

    – More . . .

Now understand, I’m a one-man band so while the above is presently being worked on, that doesn’t mean all of it is going to happen right away. Creating things takes time. Lots of time, even when working steady. Just how it is. Please be patient and keeping checking back here for updates. Announcements will also spill out of the social media machine as things are released into the world.

In the meantime, consider expanding your A.P. Fuchs collection while you wait. Plenty of books and comics to choose from on the left. I also ship direct, which gets you a signature and a personal message if you so choose.

Look after each other this week. Stand tall.

  • The Canister X Transmission Returning Soon

Announcement: A.P. Fuchs’s long-running newsletter, The Canister X Transmission, will be returning in the near future.

Once I get a few more things done here at Axiom-man Central, my weekly newsletter will once again start going out on Saturdays. We were in the middle of Year Five when I had to take a break to take care of life stuff. Year Five–now dubbed “The Long Year Five”–will resume quite soon so make sure you’ve signed up for free either via the signup box on the right or by going here.

The newsletter is the only place you will find unique behind-the-scenes information, advance news on releases, and a lot of jackassery as I dump out my brain each week.

Remember, subscribers get a free copy of The Dance of Mervo and Father Clown, my creepy clown novelette, upon signup as a thank you.

    See you in your inbox.

  • A.P. Fuchs Now on Ello

The other day a thought occurred to me: Search out lesser-known social networks in an effort to get away from corporate monopolies. So I did. I had heard of Ello in the past, didn’t really like it (it was a different model then), and forgot about it. When I looked up lesser-known social networks again, I discovered Ello had changed its model to one that focuses on showcasing artists. I looked into it, liked what I saw, and so set up shop. Now here we are. The page is complete and has one image uploaded. I plan to add to it as the days go by but am purposefully spacing it out.

That smiley face to the right is where you’ll find me, or you can go here.

  • Fall/Winter Broadcast Season Commences

This is just my usual blog entry that lets everyone know I will be off the social feeds for the fall and winter. The bots will be doing my dirty work and broadcasting daily while I attend to creative projects behind the scenes.

More announcements to come as items fall into place so keep checking back here to stay current.

To contact me, please use email via the contact page on this site.

Have a great fall and winter.

  • Going Dormant – Broadcast Mode Reinstated

It’s that time of year again where I withdraw from having an active social media presence and switch over to broadcast mode. This begins today and will carry on throughout the winter, which in Manitoba means at least five or six months.

My plan for the winter season is to release all the manuscripts I’m sitting on–some of which were created last winter broadcast season–and get them into your hands as quickly as possible. The plan also calls for creating new work, whether writing or drawing.

The best way to keep up with me is to watch this blog and sign up for my weekly newsletter, The Canister X Transmission.

To contact me, please use email via the contact page on this site.

I hope everyone has a great winter. Try and stay warm, and to you creators out there, get stuff done. I know I will.
