1988 Burger King Justice League Cups

I had these toys when I was a kid and they were the successors to my worn-out Super Powers action figure versions. Burger King did a good job with DC in terms of the characters chosen. You have the main three: Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, and then the main bad guy, Darkseid.

These aren’t the originals I owned. These were bought a comic con when I was shocked to see them at a dealer’s table. Had to have them. They have a special spot in my superhero collection because they’re a piece of my childhood.

This looks like a job for Superman!

I searched and I searched, high and low and low and high, then one day out of the blue a kind lady offered to gift me this SUPER action figure because she saw on social media I was looking for it but to no success.

Special thanks to Veronica and Zach for their kindness.

This is it! A Superman Super Powers action figure! This is a retro release by McFarlane Toys, utilizing the same branding Kenner did way back in the ’80s. I played with my Superman toy when I was a kid until I wore it out so bad my folks had to buy me a new one. It got lost over the years but now I have Superman anew and this fanboy is thrilled to the bone!

Status Report – 042720:

Supply pick-up today so we’ll be popping in and out of the studio as we take care of things at the homestead.

The main work goal for today, however, is working on Fredrikus. I have a timeframe in mind and would like to achieve it.

I also uploaded a new video to YouTube this morning that showcases my Superman metal lunch box collection. Please go here to check it out. Please also advise if there is any trouble with the video because YouTube was acting up today.

Part of the toy collection that surrounds me in my studio is my Superman action figure collection. I collect Superman across various toylines where he’s wearing his iconic suit. I shot this little video showcasing the collection. (And when I say on the blog and in my newsletter I work in a bunker, as you can see, I work in a bunker! No smoke blowing here.)
