    Inks in process for the Fredrikus No. 1 cover

    Status Report – 050120:

    Today’s main goals are two:

    Prep tomorrow’s edition of The Canister X Transmission (complete)

    Ink the cover to Fredrikus No. 1 (in process)

    Secondary goals depend on when the inks are done.

    After this cover is inked, all ready pages of Fredrikus will be scanned into the computer to be colored and assembled into a comic book for both on-line and off-line enjoyment.

    Also note a new month starts today on Patreon. We have one more chapter of Gigantigator Death Machine to air and then it’ll be time for the new serial novel, which will be announced fairly soon.     Welcome to Thursday, where we’ve been up since early due to a headache and an upset stomach. However, we are in the chair anyway because there are only so many word games from his pocket computer a guy can take.

    Not sure what the day is going to look like. I think Plan A is to just work and see how long I last.

    What you see above is a panel from Fredrikus, with the lettering in process. This is the last page I need to finish lettering before loading the current batch of strips into the computer for the next phase.

    Status Report – 042820:

    Busy working on Fredrikus. We’re lettering right now. Initially, I wasn’t sure how I was going to letter the thing then, after some deliberation, decided it’ll be done by hand, so we’re going over the pages and adding the words.

    All is still on track for a timely release.

    I also shot a new YouTube video this morning, which will air soon enough.

    And, generally speaking, I’m having a pretty good day today so I’ll take the win.

    Status Report – 042720:

    Supply pick-up today so we’ll be popping in and out of the studio as we take care of things at the homestead.

    The main work goal for today, however, is working on Fredrikus. I have a timeframe in mind and would like to achieve it.

    Junior Penciled and Inked

    Status Report – 042620:

    Just working and making comics. Who you see above is part of the Fredrikus storyline and more about this character will be revealed when the strip airs.

    This week’s comic-making schedule is roughly mapped out and, so far, we are on track for a timely release.

    We’re also soon going to be entering a production era here at Axiom-man Central. Lots of work is more or less ready to start going through the production machine, with the ultimate end game being to get these things into your hands.

    Almost there.

    Status Report – 042320:

    We’re working on a schedule shift here where I start my day a little bit later because I find I function better after the mid-morning hours. However, I also was just having coffee and decided to upload the second-to-last chapter of Gigantigator Death Machine to Patreon so my readers there got this week’s update bright and early. If you’re not reading Gigantigator Death Machine, please do. One more chapter to go and the book is done. Once complete, it will remain on Patreon while we start up the second serial novel in a few weeks.

    The plan for the day is to make comics. We’re gaining a ton of ground on Fredrikus. While the drawing is going on, so are other behind-the-scenes items so that come launch, all the necessary ducks are in a row.

    Status Report – 042220:

    Yesterday, I took the day off because I worked around two weeks straight and needed a break. It was also a day where I had some busy personal things that needed doing so those were done as well. Today, we are back at the drawing board.

    Fredrikus is coming along and so far 14 pages are penciled and inked. Computer phase is next. We are on track for my [hopeful] launch date (which I will reveal soon enough).

    The technical glitch on TinyLetter’s end seems to have been resolved so I just sent this past Saturday’s issue of The Canister X Transmission out to subscribers. Please check your inbox and junk folders (and don’t forget to white-list the email).

    That’s about it.

  • Status Report – 042020

    Status Report – 042020:

    Today we’re trying to do things with 20/20 vision given the date, which may or may not be obtained due to a nagging health slip that is being tended to but takes time to recover from. Regardless, we’re still working and still trucking along. As you can see from the photo, we’re about to start Page 14 of Fredrikus, or Episode 12.

    Not long from now, the penciled and inked pages will go into the computer for final design, color, and formatting. Then they’ll be ready for the Fredrikus website.

    Thus far, we are on track for my estimated launch date, which I will mention once I have enough penciled and inked pages for the computer. So soon.

    Today, we’re making comics and tending to some personal stuff (one of those double-booked days).

    We’re also hoping that the newsletter broadcaster is back up and running so I can send out the edition that was supposed to go out over the weekend.

    I think that will be the day. Yesterday was a trying one and I’m learning that two packed days in a row are bad for me.

    It’s been a busy week on the blog. Didn’t mean to but things needed to be shared.

    Newsletter written and ready for tomorrow. Join us.

    Today’s plan is . . . well, I’m not sure on the specifics. We have Fredrikus drawing to do and a few other things. What the work ratios for those things are, I don’t know.

    Side note: For some reason the blog’s theme keeps resetting to its default presentation so if you come by and the site looks different, it means nothing is wrong but I haven’t reset the theme yet. Working on troubleshooting the issue.

    Status Report – 041420:

    Enjoying the new workflow, which follows my new system of Slowing Down to Speed Up.

    We are almost where we need to be to discuss Project Jackass here on the blog.

    Also, this was blog was retooled behind the scenes recently. A couple minor tweaks left–basically settling on one or two other plug-ins–but otherwise we seem to be back up and running smoothly here.

    Websites are fun.

    Right, don’t blog about blogging. That’s Old Internet.

    Had a health lapse recently but seem to be getting back on track. (Non-COVID related.) This is good.

    Back to the drawing board. Consider this notice one that says, “Yes, we are still working here and almost have news.”

    In the interim, please check out my YouTube channel and consider subscribing. Heroes and monsters are what the videos are all about.
