  • A.P. Fuchs 2023 Studio Tour

Posted on August 23, 2023 5:34 am by A.P. Fuchs

    A.P. Fuchs 2023 Studio Tour

vLog - 2023 studio tour thumbnail

Well, here it is: Home sweet home.

It’s definitely not like other writers’ offices with books everywhere and a computer. It’s also not like your traditional artist studio with the smell of paint on the air and lots of brushes and pens laid out.

When I say in my newsletter I work in a bunker, well, you’ll see that I’m not far off.

My studio was originally going to be a basement bathroom but the previous owners of the house didn’t finish it. They got as far as framing it and marking out on the cement floor what goes where (i.e. the tub here, the toilet there, etc). So, I went out and got a roll of carpet, cut it to size, put it down, then put all my equipment where I wanted it to be. What I forgot to mention in the video is the computer desk I’m using I’ve had since I was about 5 or 6. It’s small, but I’ve made it work and the room is too small to put in something new from IKEA or wherever. Besides, one of the drawers has a sticker on it one of my kids put on it when they were toddlers. Yeah, I’m sentimental like that.

Anyway, this is it, the A.P. Fuchs 2023 Studio Tour. This is where I produce my books and comics and make sure they get out to you.

Hope you dig my little nerd’s nest.

Welcome to the real-life Realm of Heroes and Monsters!

Oregon Vacation Highlight Reels and Shorts Part Two

    Big Brown Bull

Continuing our adventures through Oregon. We landed in Portland. Went to Gaston, went to Lincoln City, went to Hillsboro, and more.

Here are some more good times from our trip.

Here’s me trying a Connecticut lobster roll for the first time, the lobster lathered in butter. It was amazing.
This street drummer was busting out the beats. So cool.
Mutton Bustin’. Didn’t know it was a thing. It’s basically bull riding for kids but on sheep.
Mr. Bull shooting the bull with me while he ate.

Don’t forget to read a book or comic while you wait for Oregon Vacation Highlight Reels and Shorts Part Three.

Oregon Vacation Highlight Reels and Shorts Part One

may the horse be with you

During the first week of August, I took my first vacation in approximately seventeen years. It was much needed as I was very burnt out from working.

My girlfriend (author Melinda Marshall) and I had a great time. We decompressed, got to relax, took in some sights, and even the airport experience and airplane ride (Westjet) was pleasant.

Below are some hightlight reels and shorts from the trip. Hope you enjoy them.

Please be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more free entertainment!

    Peace.

    Driving through the Portland tunnel.
Seals swimming at the Oregon Zoon.
A couple giraffes giraffing at the Oregon Zoo.
A lion and his mate strolling together. Don’t steal his girlfriend!

More Oregon Vacation Highlight Reels and Shorts to come. Stay tuned . . .

Read a book until next post. 🙂

    Cheers!

    vLog – The Pacific Ocean

    vLog Pacific Ocean thumbnail

Here’s a new vLog while staring out onto the Pacific Ocean on the West coast in Lincoln City, Oregon. I had my feet in the water and even took a slurp of it (then spat it out–so salty) just to say I’ve been in–and tasted–both oceans. I saw the Atlantic Ocean in Florida and now the Pacific Ocean in Oregon.

Here are some thoughts while staring out onto the never-ending blue of beautiful water and the white crests of waves.

  • A.P. Fuchs Now on TikTok!

    TikTok logo

Well, I caved and got hooked up on TikTok. Already posted some short videos. Will post more but I don’t know how much is too much too often so I’ll regulate it at a moderate pace to start. It’ll be an assortment of things I find amusing plus an emphasis on Pop Culture, of course. BookTok is on the list. I have ideas but it’ll take a while to get through all my books so plenty of content to create and post before needing something new.

These TikTok videos will be different from my YouTube videos as they’re short-short whereas my YouTube videos are 3 to 5 minutes long, roughly.

    Wanna join me and Tok?

Just click the little icon below and follow.

    Thanks.

    vLog – Socially-distanced Nature Walk.

Come join me on a socially-distanced nature walk at a park near my house.

I’ve always been a walker. Find them relaxing.

I also tell you a couple quick stories from my childhood and how walking formed the core storyline of The Axiom-man Saga.

Don’t mind the wind. It was fairly breezy.

Hope this little video helps you virtually get out of the house.

Location: Undisclosed park in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

I made a video discussing the 1000mph Club which, though commonly used to describe car speed, was also used by Warren Ellis in his newsletter, Orbital Operations, about working at a breakneck pace.

Take a look at the vLog below to see what I said about it. Also, don’t forget to subscribe to stay current on all the latest videos.
