    Content Schedule 2023

    content-schedule-2023

As you might have noticed, I’ve been pouring a lot of energy back into creating on-line content.

For a while, I couldn’t. Too many life changes and ups and downs. But now things have settled somewhat so I’m able to do things writing- and publishing-wise again.

Here is the current weekly content schedule that’s planned for the remainder of 2023:

Sunday – REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS
    Monday – YouTube video
    Tuesday – Misc. blog post
    Wednesday – Misc. blog post
    Thursday – Misc. blog post
    Friday – Book Spotlight Video
Saturday – THE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION

And, of course, throughout the week there will be a few shorts and reels via YouTube and TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.

And what of the ads on the site, Fuchs? Aren’t they a little instrusive? Yes, they sometimes can be and I’m still figuring out proper ad placement so it doesn’t interfere with your site experience. However, these ads are how this site and FREDRIKUS‘s gets paid for. The entertainment machine isn’t free and is, frankly, quite costly. A great help would be if you took a microsecond and clicked an ad or two on your way to your next on-line destination as a way of “leaving a tip.” There’s also the PayPal button for donations in whatever amount you want.

But the biggest thing you can do for me is subscribe to my YouTube channel. I’m really trying to grow it and your subscription goes a long way in helping with that so thanks in advance.

As for 2024’s content schedule, I don’t know just yet. Right now I’m focusing on finishing the year off strong. I’m sure a 2024 announcement will come along at some point.

Thank you for hanging out at my website this week. Much appreciated.

    Peace.

    APF

  • Going Out of Print – Getting Down and Digital: How to Self-publish Your Book

Posted on June 29, 2022 11:17 am by A.P. Fuchs

My how-to book on self-publishing, Getting Down and Digital: How to Self-publish Your Book, is going out of print in a week. That means you have one week to get your copies before I pull the plug. Why am I pulling the book? Because it is dated. The how-tos on formatting and design are all still relevant and important, as is the information on self-publishing in general, but the sections on uploading to the different interfaces are now out of date because the platforms featured changed how they do things. I don’t want someone getting the book then hitting the part about uploading and what they see in the book doesn’t match what’s on their screen.

The book, for those still interested, will be available for direct order only going forward until I’ve depleted my stock here at the Central, but the distribution access is being stopped in 7 days.

If you’re looking for general self-publishing information, my weekly newsletter, The Canister X Transmission, usually has something in it likewise with its collected counterparts. My other book, Canadian Scribbler: Collect Letters of an Underground Writer, also contains lots of self-publishing information in the correspondence.

Thank you to everyone who supported Getting Down and Digital: How to Self-publish Your Book over the years. Hope you found it helpful.

  • Clean up Day

Posted on June 8, 2022 1:04 pm by A.P. Fuchs

Having been so focused on getting books out to you, a lot of little things have piled up both professionally and personally. Today I’m working my way through a laundry list of to-do items like drafting up this week’s issue of THE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION.

I won’t likely get it all done and I have a class tonight. By the time that’s over, it’ll be time to wind down before bed.

Anyway, sometimes you need to set aside a day to play catch-up.

  • Not Dead Yet

    Not Dead Yet

    station ident apr2420

I haven’t blogged here in nearly a year, which makes me a hypocrite because I used to stress blogging fairly frequently. Thing is, I fell ill again and had to put a full stop on most things while I recovered. I was able to pick at odds and ends but wasn’t able to get back into the full swing of things.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been as productive as ever and finally brought some book stuff out of the darkness and into the light. I did a lot of work and the following is an update as to where my various projects are at.

    In no particular order:

Giganti-gator Death Machine: Triple Feature – with the editor.
The Canister X Transmission: Year Four – with the formatter.
The Canister X Transmission: The Long Year Five – with the formatter.

    Expected release: Summer 2022

    Reissues:

Blood of the Dead – with the formatter.
Possession of the Dead – with the formatter.
Redemption of the Dead – beginning of final proofread.
Surprise Project – In pieces but not in a bad way. Just need to assemble everything and write something for it.

    Expected release: Fall 2022

    The Axiom-man Saga:

The Summoning – to be written soon.
Episode No. 4: Transformations – to be written.
New Dawn – to be written.

These three Axiom-man books will be written back-to-back because these three stories are The Battle of Power Trilogy, so essentially one story told over three parts. My goal is to have them out by Winnipeg Comic Con in the fall. I know the above looks like a lot and overshooting the year but you have to remember what these projects are and how close each one is to being finished.

    Other items:

Fredrikus – I have one episode inked and ready for scanning. The comic is temporarily on the backburner while I finish up the above.
The Canister X Transmission: The Very Long Year Six – I plan to resume the newsletter at a later date. I want to wait until I’m fully back up and running so I have something to write to you every week.
YouTube – I have a package here at Axiom-man Central that I want to do an unboxing video for so look for that soon. I also plan to make more videos once I’m fully back in the saddle.
Canister X – I’ll blog when I can and when I have something to say.

And there you have it: A complete picture of what’s happening with various projects on the go. Let’s hope my health keeps up.

    Cheers.

    ~APF

    Status Report – 062520:

It’s a warm day here in Winnipeg. A couple cups of coffee have been had and I’m gearing up for the rest of the work day.

We’ve also initiated Mostly Broadcast Mode over here and have been spending little–if any–time on the social feeds. Sometimes it gets to be too much and one needs to step back and focus on the work.

This weekend’s edition of The Canister X Transmission is partially written so that needs to be completed before it goes out Saturday. Also, a new episode of Fredrikus is set to air for tomorrow.

Today’s agenda involves making more comics.

This has been your Status Report for 062520.

    Status Report – 061520:

This morning, I uploaded a new chapter of Zomtropolis to Patreon. In this chapter, we meet the girl of our story. You can start reading the book and also get access to the entirety of Gigantigator Death Machine by going here.

Went nuts yesterday and binged Project Rebuild and crossed a major hurdle. Basically, the galley review of the new edition of Blood of the Dead is now complete.

Today, I plan to do some comic stuff but I’m not sure in which capacity as I have a couple items sitting in Photoshop that need completion.

I also need to take a gander at the new format for The Canister X Transmission because we completed The Long Year Five over the weekend and Year Six starts this Saturday. Please join us by going here.

We also have some backend things to attend to but I’m not sure on the order just yet. One thing at a time.

If you have any questions, please contact me here.

This has been your Status Report for 061520.
