    Goodbye TinyLetter; Hello MailerLite

    canister x transmission collections

Well, MailChimp pulled the plug on TinyLetter, the newsletter engine I’ve using to send THE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION for about eight years. It was a great platform because it had a simple and direct, user-friendly interface and was perfect for a text-based newsletter like mine. But, alas, all good things must come to an end, I suppose, so thanks to fellow author Bobby Nash, he turned me on to MailerLite and from there I’ll be able to continue to send out new issues of the newsletter week after week. This change, of course, will involve some link adjusting and some web design stuff since all my sites have the TinyLetter subscribe box.

Either way, we now have a new provider and there should be no interupption in service.

You’ll also receive a free thriller novelette upon subscribing. Goes out Saturdays.

Goodbye, Tinyletter. Thank you for your service.

If you’d like to be a part of THE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION while I finish getting things all set up, please email me and I’ll add you to the subscriber list. You can also use the form above. The email-me option is there in case of glitches.

    Thanks.

    A.P. Fuchs Patreon 2.0

    It is true.

    It is time.

Patreon 2.0 launches this November 13. I’m aiming to premiere the trailer Sunday evening then do a full-blast posting Monday to launch the page and invite one and all into the PATREON REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS.

There are two tiers and they’ll be displayed in full on launch day, but to sum them up, they are:

Tip Jar: $1. Just a general tip to help me along in the art world with my deepest thanks.

All-Access: $5. For just five bucks a month you get everything content that I put on the Web plus the following just for you:

    Patreon artwork collection

Artwork only revealed here. Nowhere else. Public art is here.

    Patreon behind the scenes collection

Learn what goes on behind the scenes in bringing you books, comics, art, podcasts, videos, and more. (This is stuff I don’t talk about or show openly.)

    Patreon videos collection

Entertaining and/or informative videos made only for patrons.

    Patreon serial novels

It began with GIGANTI-GATOR DEATH MACHINE and continues with TWO other running serials.

    Patreon photos collection

Photos taken EXCLUSIVELY for this page. Sometimes I add my own sparkle, other times not, but they’re always interesting.

    Patreon quick notes collection

Quick little notes or did-you-knows just for you.

Usually bits of info that are hopefully insightful or useful.

    Patreon essays collection

For those interested in the craft of storytelling through various mediums, both the creative side and the business side.

Like the Quick Notes, these are intended to be helpful.

And there you have it. If you were a previous patron, you know I always deliver content on time without excuse. As well, if you were a part of Patreon 1.0, please get in touch.

  • The Way of the Fog and Still About a Girl Returning to Life

The Way of the Fog and Still About a Girl Returning to Life

Way of the Fog and Still About a Girl

A long time ago I wrote an epic fantasy (253k words) called THE WAY OF THE FOG: VOLUME ONE OF THE ARK OF LIGHT. It came out in hardcover only. That hardcover is returning. As for paperback and eBook versions, I’ll have to figure something out because the core files were lost in The Great Computer Crash of 2010. I have some ideas on how to recover the files, but it’ll take some time.

As well, my poetry book, STILL A ABOUT A GIRL, is returning to print. It was my third poetry collection and came out early in my career. No reason to not have it out there again. It’s a collection of poems about love and loss and how it changes you.

Stay tuned for more news as these projects return.

In the meantime, lots of books to choose from both here and at Amazon to keep you reading company. Thanks.

  • Zomtropolis is Finished

On Sunday, I finally finished writing ZOMTROPOLIS: A RECORD OF LIFE IN A DEAD CITY.

    status report 050720

It is a study on heartbreak, zombies, a broken post-apocalyptic metropolis, and a man descending into madness where the line between what’s real and what isn’t has become blurred.

    Next steps:

    • Personal edits
    • Editor edits
    • One final go-through
    • Formatting and production
    • Off to the printer and e-distributors
    • Release
    • Hopefully you’ll check out the book

Here’s a clip I recorded Sunday, tired and haggard a very short while after finishing the book.

Thanks for watching this old dog talk about his accomplishment. To watch more, please subscribe here.

While we wait for ZOMTROPOLIS, why not check out my other stand-alone zombie book, ZOMBIE FIGHT NIGHT: BATTLES OF THE DEAD? Great reviews. Everything awesome between two covers.

  • Content Schedule 2023

    Content Schedule 2023

    content-schedule-2023

As you might have noticed, I’ve been pouring a lot of energy back into creating on-line content.

For a while, I couldn’t. Too many life changes and ups and downs. But now things have settled somewhat so I’m able to do things writing- and publishing-wise again.

Here is the current weekly content schedule that’s planned for the remainder of 2023:

SundayREALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS
    MondayYouTube video
    Tuesday – Misc. blog post
    Wednesday – Misc. blog post
    Thursday – Misc. blog post
    FridayBook Spotlight Video
    SaturdayTHE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION

And, of course, throughout the week there will be a few shorts and reels via YouTube and TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.

And what of the ads on the site, Fuchs? Aren’t they a little instrusive? Yes, they sometimes can be and I’m still figuring out proper ad placement so it doesn’t interfere with your site experience. However, these ads are how this site and FREDRIKUS‘s gets paid for. The entertainment machine isn’t free and is, frankly, quite costly. A great help would be if you took a microsecond and clicked an ad or two on your way to your next on-line destination as a way of “leaving a tip.” There’s also the PayPal button for donations in whatever amount you want.

But the biggest thing you can do for me is subscribe to my YouTube channel. I’m really trying to grow it and your subscription goes a long way in helping with that so thanks in advance.

As for 2024’s content schedule, I don’t know just yet. Right now I’m focusing on finishing the year off strong. I’m sure a 2024 announcement will come along at some point.

Thank you for hanging out at my website this week. Much appreciated.

    Peace.

    A.P. Fuchs TikTok Channel Introduction

Here you go, folks, my TikTok introduction video which I finally had time to create. I do hope you subscribe to my channel. What’s cool about TikTok is I can quickly vLog about things, showcase collectibles, promote my books and comics, and just have a good time without going through the longer video production that I normally do for my YouTube videos. (Which, by the way, as of this writing, I have two cool long videos to put together and post so stay tuned.)

So, yeah, here I am on TikTok. Come join the party!

Edit: When I set up this post, the video showed up fine but when it posted-posted, the video gets cut off. I’m going to leave it up as it’s probably WordPress and the TikTok embed feature working out a few bugs. Hopefully it’ll post in full soon.
