    Status Report – 042020:

Today we’re trying to do things with 20/20 vision given the date, which may or may not be obtained due to a nagging health slip that is being tended to but takes time to recover from. Regardless, we’re still working and still trucking along. As you can see from the photo, we’re about to start Page 14 of Fredrikus, or Episode 12.

Not long from now, the penciled and inked pages will go into the computer for final design, color, and formatting. Then they’ll be ready for the Fredrikus website.

Thus far, we are on track for my estimated launch date, which I will mention once I have enough penciled and inked pages for the computer. So soon.

Today, we’re making comics and tending to some personal stuff (one of those double-booked days).

We’re also hoping that the newsletter broadcaster is back up and running so I can send out the edition that was supposed to go out over the weekend.

I think that will be the day. Yesterday was a trying one and I’m learning that two packed days in a row are bad for me.

    Status Report – 041720:

It’s been a busy week on the blog. Didn’t mean to but things needed to be shared.

Newsletter written and ready for tomorrow. Join us.

Today’s plan is . . . well, I’m not sure on the specifics. We have Fredrikus drawing to do and a few other things. What the work ratios for those things are, I don’t know.

Side note: For some reason the blog’s theme keeps resetting to its default presentation so if you come by and the site looks different, it means nothing is wrong but I haven’t reset the theme yet. Working on troubleshooting the issue.

Okay, time to get to it. Enjoy your day.

    Status Report – 041420:

Enjoying the new workflow, which follows my new system of Slowing Down to Speed Up.

We are almost where we need to be to discuss Project Jackass here on the blog.

Also, this was blog was retooled behind the scenes recently. A couple minor tweaks left–basically settling on one or two other plug-ins–but otherwise we seem to be back up and running smoothly here.

    Websites are fun.

Right, don’t blog about blogging. That’s Old Internet.

Had a health lapse recently but seem to be getting back on track. (Non-COVID related.) This is good.

Back to the drawing board. Consider this notice one that says, “Yes, we are still working here and almost have news.”

In the interim, please check out my YouTube channel and consider subscribing. Heroes and monsters are what the videos are all about.

    April 10 2020 calendar

    Status Report – 041020:

Busy making comics. I also need to block out a chunk of time to go over some scheduling items because in the near future, Gigantigator Death Machine wraps on Patreon and we start up the new serial novel. The end of The Long Year Five of The Canister X Transmission is also not far off so I need to double check my numbering to make sure we end on the right issue (which will be a double so don’t miss out on that).

Project Rebuild hit another delay due to elements beyond my control so I need to wrestle that down because frustration is starting to set in. (Remember when this used to be a simple process?)

And today is Good Friday, the day we remember when God intervened on humankind’s behalf to reunite us with Him, and a day marked out as a turning point in history.

Hope you have a good day.

    Stay safe.

If you need to get in touch, please send me an email. Thanks.

    Snow is melting in April

    Status Report – 040820:

As we make headway into Project Jackass, other things need tending to, some items being personal due to COVID-19 and how it’s affected the world. Today will be spent making comics and doing some of those personal things.

This blog was also retooled on the back end so your experience with it should be a better one compared to before. Might be a tweak or two to go yet, however, but generally speaking, this thing seems to be working just fine now. Finally.

    And onward we go.

This has been your Status Report for 040820.

Ps. Hey, look at that picture. The snow is almost melted.

Pps. Here is my Ello account because, well, why not? I don’t use it much but we can hook up there if you’re a part of the site.

    Comic end panel

    Status Report – 040720:

The comics-making machine is in process and I’m making pages for Project Jackass. Like I said in my newsletter, I’ll talk about it more once I’m further in. I’m about 1/5 of the way and I want to be at about 1/2 before revealing the title. (However, the title was already revealed on Patreon awhile back as a patrons-first announcement; a perk to being a patron.)

Having a good time at the drawing board and working with pencil and inks and paper. It’s a pleasant change from looking at a screen.

If you need me or have a question, please shoot me an email. Thanks.

Stay safe out there. Be smart. Watch out for each other.

    Status Report – 033120:

Driving a tired and sleepy car today, but the show must go on. Did today’s work on Project Rebuild. Now I’m doing this. Then onto something else afterward.

Assuming the world doesn’t explode by end-of-week, on Friday I’m scheduled to speak with someone who understands the Matrix better than me and we’re going to do some behind-the-scenes work on this blog to turn it into the on-line machine I need for going forward (which basically means taking what’s here and doing some back-end stuff to achieve what I hope is the final step in my media machine model). If the blog gets a little screwy on Friday or, potentially, the days leading up to it because I decide to monkey around, just hang tight.

In the meantime, stay safe. Stay healthy. Eat right. Rest right. It’s all any of us can do to ensure we are as healthy as possible for the days ahead.

Side note: The latest Patreon article is written and will be uploaded after final review. The topic is what to do if you’re feeling your arts career is sinking. Part one of two. Read it here by subscribing to the Essays tier. Also gets you access to all uploaded chapters of Gigantigator Death Machine. Thank you in advance for your support.

Outside, it’s cool and gray, but all is well here at Axiom-man Central. We’re taking care of some things on the personal front and are still working on things on the professional front.

Saturday’s newsletter is written and ready to go outside its pre-send proofread.

Just kind of moving along at a comfortable pace.

    Keep well. Stay safe.

    Status Report – 021420:

    Busy with the reissues.

The pic above shows the galley proof for the reissue of Blood of the Dead. I broadcasted a picture of it coming off the printer to Instagram yesterday.

The schedule dictates next week is the review for Possession of the Dead.

    We’re getting there, people.

All that matters is the endgame, which is the 2020 vision.

The main goal is to do our final year-end review with a smile and a sense of accomplishment.

Thank you for walking the Project Rebuild path with me.

    Status Report – 010920:

Deep into Project Rebuild and a few other things. Letting the Internet do its thing while I work.

New working methods learned. New working methods implemented.

This old workhorse ain’t as spry as he used to be.

    When did I get old?

Most of this week’s issue of The Canister X Transmission is complete. Shipping Saturday.
