At long last, Fredrikus the webcomic is released into the world!
Debuting today is the cover to the first issue and the opening page, which you can read on-line for free by going here. (Refresh your browser if you’ve visited before.)
Also released are the Fredrikus tiers on Patreon, which I talked about here.
Both platforms treat you to the comic on a weekly schedule. (The Patreon version, which includes bonus material, airs Thursdays; the regular version airs Fridays).
Follow the story of an anthropomorphic dog in a dystopian sci-fi world. Find out his quirks. Learn about his work. Read about his life.

This morning, I set up new Fredrikus tiers on Patreon and uploaded the cover and opening page to the comic both to the public Fredrikus site and to Patreon (where you get to read the comic a day early and get access to bonus material only available to patrons and the published editions). Patreon’s airing of the strip is every Thursday; general public version of the strip airs every Friday.
The new tier levels are two and they are broken down below:
Serial Webcomics
For $1, you get access to the FREDRIKUS comic strip and its bonus material (bonus material exclusive to Patreon and the published editions). Updates weekly (Thursdays) and you get it a day before the general public.
Regular Patreon-only blog posts, which include video.
Serial Comics, Novels, and Essays
For $3, you get complete access to the FREDRIKUS comic strip and its bonus material (bonus material exclusive to Patreon and the published editions). Updates weekly (Thursdays) and you get it a day before the general public.
Both serial novels.
Patreon-only essay blog posts.
Regular Patreon-only blog posts, which include video.

Just uploaded a penciled and inked page of Fredrikus to the Behind the Scenes tier on Patreon.
By becoming a patron, you get access to looks at projects before anyone else and in a way that is typically not shown via my other online channels. The Behind the Scenes tier also gets you access to the serial novel, essays on the creative life (along with helpful tips), and, soon, the special version of the upcoming Fredrikus webcomic, which contains bonus material that won’t be available elsewhere online. Oh, and you also get a nifty Official Canister X membership card only available at this tier level and up.
Fredrikus Webcomic Coming May 15 2020.
On Friday, May 15, I will be launching my serial webcomic, Fredrikus.
This strip has been a long time in the making and the character has been with me since before I started in this business. Exciting times, and you’re invited on the journey.
The strip will air at a frequency of one episode per week. It is free and will air every Friday on the Fredrikus website.
Also launching next week is the Fredrikus Patreon tier, which gets you access to the comic a day early and bonus material only available to patrons (and in the eventual published collected edition).

Status Report – 050420:
Today, we uploaded a new video to YouTube, worked on the cover to Fredrikus No. 1, and did some administration stuff.
What you see in the pic above is part of Fredrikus No. 1, page 1.
This strip will be in color.
The cover is around 50% complete (color flats are down and modeling has begun).
Hope you dig Fredrikus when he debuts, especially if life humor is your thing.

vLog – Wrong Turn to Mars 2 (Updates).
Once again, I got myself lost on the red planet of Mars, but thought I’d give you an update anyway. Watch the video to find out where things are at with my upcoming webcomic, Fredrikus, as well as the final chapter of Gigantigator Death Machine for Patreon, and more.

Status Report – 050120:
Today’s main goals are two:
Prep tomorrow’s edition of The Canister X Transmission (complete)
Ink the cover to Fredrikus No. 1 (in process)
Secondary goals depend on when the inks are done.
After this cover is inked, all ready pages of Fredrikus will be scanned into the computer to be colored and assembled into a comic book for both on-line and off-line enjoyment.
Also note a new month starts today on Patreon. We have one more chapter of Gigantigator Death Machine to air and then it’ll be time for the new serial novel, which will be announced fairly soon. Just a buck gets you access to Gigantigator Death Machine and the new serial novel. That’s two books for one bean a month. Join the journey by going here. Hope to see you there.

This has been your Status Report for 050120.
Everything is a Herculean effort today.
Every task is being done in increments because I’m tiring easily.
I’d opt for a day off, but since I’m an extremely boring person with little interest in anything outside of making books and comics, we’ll do what we can to keep the machine running until a full recovery is made.
Just pinned down the paper for the Fredrikus No. 1 cover on the drawing board, and all penciled and inked buffer pages just need a short review before scanning.

Status Report – 043020:
Welcome to Thursday, where we’ve been up since early due to a headache and an upset stomach. However, we are in the chair anyway because there are only so many word games from his pocket computer a guy can take.
Not sure what the day is going to look like. I think Plan A is to just work and see how long I last.
What you see above is a panel from Fredrikus, with the lettering in process. This is the last page I need to finish lettering before loading the current batch of strips into the computer for the next phase.
