Realm of Heroes and Monsters: Story Time Podcast Episodes 1 and 30
Yesterday, I recorded episode 3 of Season Two of the Realm of Heroes and Monsters: Story Time podcast. The episode ran over an hour, the show primarily the story.
We have a new format for Season Two. Hope you enjoy it.
For now, tune into the first and last episodes of Season One to tide you over as I stockpile a bit of Season Two before release.
Thank you for tuning in. Be sure to subscribe for more Story Time podcast episodes so you’re all set for Season Two.

An update from the desk of writer and artist A.P. Fuchs on his YouTube journey. This vLog marks the third entry of what will probably be an endless series of videos about the channel and how it’s coming along both in front of the camera and behind.
Thank you for supporting my channel of Pop Culture, superheroes, monsters, stories, podcasts, collectibles, shopping trips, and more.

. . . A.P. Fuchs and welcome to my website where superheroes and monsters and Pop Culture is the name of the game. I’m an independent writer, cartoonist, and freelancer in the worlds of books and comics. This is Canister X, my official blog and the Realm of Heroes and Monsters, where we try and entertain and inform you on a regular basis.
I’ve been publishing for almost 25 years and still have lots to do. Right now, we’re big on video content—both longer videos and shorts and reels—and podcasts, so be sure you’re hooked up at the appropriate links below (podcast on YouTube, YouTube Music, and Spotify).
My Patreon page is here. It’s an important place where I post serial novels, serial comics, essays and articles on the creative arts business, behind-the-scenes secrets, artwork, photos, and more. Join me and my other patrons and be a part of something entertaining and informative with consistent content. Check out the sweet trailer for the page, too.
I’m also the writer/artist of the webcomic, Fredrikus, which you can read from the beginning here.
On Saturdays, I send out my newsletter, The Canister X Transmission. It’s a weekly newsletter where we all come together after a busy week, unwind, regroup, and kick off the weekend. Currently, we started Year Seven. Join me and my readers and fans of fandom.
This morning was spent producing the premiere episode of Season Two of the REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTER: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS podcast.
We’re doing things differently this season. Of course, Story Time is the name of the game and a large part of the show, but the format has changed and the stories are much longer.
If you watch my YouTube channel, the thought has probably crossed your mind as to how I can afford my collecting hobby and toy collection. The truth is: I can’t. I’m a struggling artist like most out there.
Here’s what I do:
1) Never pay retail if/when possible. The majority of my collection comes from dollar stores like Dollar Tree and Dollarama. Example: action figures that retail at the toy store or comic shop for $20+ (before taxes), I can get for $5 or less. Same with the hotwheels. All from the dollar store. And the Funkos? Well…
2) Find a vendor with good deals where things are always discounted, not because something’s wrong with it, but simply because it’s a more affordable vendor. Again, never pay retail if it can be helped.
3) Plan your shipping. Not all vendors offer free shipping upon purchase so what you do is save up and get a bunch of collectibles at once. Yes, a larger bill but you would have spent the same amount on the collectibles anyway so that renders that argument moot. What you’re doing by buying in bulk is amortizing the shipping cost across several units so your per-unit shipping cost goes way down.
4) Gifts. People know I love action figures and toys so I get a bunch of those as gifts, and it’s those gifts I share with you, like my Superman Christmas video. Not talking value here but strictly retail, out of my entire collection out of all the things I collect, I’ve paid about half retail all told. Half.
Yes, us Winnipeggers are cheap and know how to find a deal. We only pay retail if absolutely required.
That’s my secret. (Oh, and you guys checking out my books and comics helps too.)
The Realm of Heroes and Monsters:Story Time –The Complete First Season
Last weekend we completed the first full season of the REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS podcast. We’re taking a month break before coming back with round two.
What’s planned? Oh, some things, including a new show format and, of course, more stories.
In the meantime, you can tune in and listen to it in its entirely via the following sources:

This is it! The Season One Finale of THE REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS podcast! 30 episodes! 30 stories! (Well, actually, 31 because this episode is a DOUBLE!)
To kick of the show, Fuchs gives the background as to the whole superheroes and monsters thing and why those are the main two genres he writes in which, in turn, are the stories shared with you. The answer might surprise you.
Fuchs then gives a quick pep talk on the artist’s voice (any craft) prior to delivering a SECOND tale for this final episode. This one is a personal story and one from way back in Fuchs’s career.
And, of course, as always, stick around until after the credits for a quick special something.
See you in Season Two!
