“Morning. Tomorrow morning we lay my grandmother to rest. She had passed over a year back but due to timing and other factors, she will be laid to rest tomorrow. I like the idea of one’s final resting place. My faith aside, just knowing that at one point I’m going to be lying in a box surrounded by cushion and going to bed for the last time is comforting. Sort of a well-earned sleep. (At least, the goal is to make it well-earned.) So for tomorrow, I’m genuinely happy. My grandmother gets to go to bed for the last time and have her well-earned sleep. Good for her.”

The iconic scene from SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE hits the Funko Pop line as this wonderful and romantic set of two Funko Pops of Superman and Lois enjoying a flight together. Hmmm . . . I wonder if she’ll start interally monologuing?
I had to get this set. SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE was a massive part of my childhood and Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder are my favorite Superman and Lois duo. I got to meet Margot in real life prior to her passing. Have a picture of us. She was a very nice lady and I’m sorry she has left us.
I heard back from Archives Canada regarding my reserved eBook ISBN number for CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS. I’m in a position to upload now but when I do, I want to make sure my head is clear so I can make any last-minute adjustments correctly. This may happen within the next couple if days but definitely this weekend so we’re still on track for release.
For those who read my recent newsletter, I came to an agreement with myself that for the secret Fredrikus project, if we average one item every few days, we’ll be in good shape come time when other stuff is wiped off the plate. Then after that, things will bulldoze ahead and my comic goals for 2024 will be met.

Further, THE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION: THE VERY LONG YEAR SIX is about 70% formatted, which keeps us on track for an end-of-June release.
Lastly, work on the BATTLE OF POWER TRILOGY is still underway and thus far we are on schedule. I’m going to be putting down a lot of words in the near future and I know I’ll feel lighter once the first installment is complete. The other two installments all feed from that one so once that one is complete, then it’s kind of an issue of expanding on it but not in a purple prose way. In a more story way. As mentioned, this concludes the first act of THE AXIOM-MAN SAGA.
Authortube: How to Get Past the Writing Wall | How to Overcome Writer’s Block
Writer’s block hits every writer once in a while. For myself, it only happened once until I figured out how to overcome it. That was over twenty years ago. This authortube video is meant to encourage you and put you in the right headspace to keep the story moving forward despite if you feel blocked. Without proper headspace, you won’t get anywhere anyway. It’s my hope that this video helps set your head on straight so you can continue with your story.

A lot, actually. Asking a fellow writer for a blurb can be both easy or daunting, depending on the ask. In the case of CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS, the writer/poet I asked to blurb my book is someone I admire and, frankly, was a little bit nervous handing over the galley for it.
I write poetry, sure, but it’s not my main medium. I used to blast out poems non-stop once upon a time, but these days they’re few and far between. However, the approach to CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS is different than my other stuff and, it seems, paid off.
I won’t give away details just yet, but the book did indeed wind up getting blurbed by that writer and it will be used on the front cover.
