Been keeping an eye out for some die case Matchbox cars that really jump out at me from the shelf. This second showcase of my Matchbox Cars collection has some terrific models like:
- 1936 Ford Coupe
- 1960 Chevy El Camino
- 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible
- 1992 Mazda Autozam AZ-1
- Holden VF Commodore SSV
I guess it’s back to the toy store for me to hunt down some more spectacular Matchbox cars!

Today’s work log up to the time of this post: 4:05PM CST:
- Recorded Episode 7 of The Realm of Heroes and Monsters: Story Time with A.P. Fuchs podcast
- Wrote and sent Issue 322 of The Canister X Transmission Newsletter and sent it off to readers
- Worked on an alphabetized section of the website to bring it to current (still in progress)
- Conducted freelance edits for a client. Am aiming to get the manuscript back to them soon
- Answered an inquiry for a possible client
I’m sure I’ll be doing a little more yet, and though the above list looks small, it took a good while. This was my work log for May 11, 2024.

Totally loaded up with Temu again. Seriously, sweet stuff for a deal and reliable.

We ordered a 1989 batmobile keychain, a special little graduation present for my son, a black belt for interchangeable buckles, and an E99 Pro Drone, which will be used to create some awesome aerial videos for this channel. Axiom-man is totally going to take flight with this one. He might even get his own flight playlist. We’ll see.

But yeah, superhero awesomeness in that regard.

We’re all set. Everything’s on track. My new poetry collection about the truths of life, CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS, should be out end of May/early June (depending how fast the distributor processes everything).

The above image is not the actual cover but just a snippet to whet your appetite.

I’m excited about this one. It’s dedicated to the late Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip.

He wrote a lot about life. Told a lot of stories. This collection is meant to honor that legacy and practice.

Maybe somewhere Gord is proud. Or maybe he’d ask me what the heck do I think I’m doing. Har har.

New Patreon Essay: Creators Need to Stop Doing This Online

A new short essay was posted to Patreon today for patrons. It’s an important one, in my opinion, because it affects not just the creator doing this one bad thing, but it reflects on the rest of us as well. Unfortunately, the arts community is viewed as a kind of giant whole of all crafts with a few prominent creators in each category standing out (i.e. the big guys like Stephen King or Todd McFarlane).

The trick for any creator is to stand out themselves but doing this one habbit online is not helping their cause. This new essay tells it like it is and asks creators to clean up their act (but not in the way you think).

Everybody’s favorite Dungeons and Dragons horror monster show figures are here! We have the entire set of Stranger Things figures, Target-exclusive editions. We have Will, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and, of course, Eleven. Oh, and a piece-it-together demigorgan, too.

Very cool figures based on the show from Netflix. I especially like these were Target-exclusive action figures and we no longer have Target here in Canada. Sweet.

Welcome to Season Two of the REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS Podcast! In this introductory episodes, A.P. Fuchs gives the lay of the land for Season Two and what to expect. We’re also diving into full short stories so Story Time is much longer than Season One.
