Episode 5: Axiom-man: Black Water – Bodies litter the sand of a friendly beach. Axiom-man flies down to Florida to investigate only to discover this isn’t your average series of murders. Something else caused the deaths of these innocent people, and something else has caused them to rise.

Something unnatural, perhaps even supernatural.

Something . . . from beneath the ocean’s black water.

We change things up this episode and grant you a superhero short story with some monsters!

This is how it’s going to be:
Rhymes and verse
Melodies rehearsed
Across life’s rocky sea.

Listen up, Folks,
This is how we’re going to play:
Thoughts and comments,
Displays of indominance,
Making the rounds all day.

Read a poem, maybe two,
Pick three if you wish to dare.
Ramblings and coherence,
Sometimes jots of incoherence
Anything for poetic flare.

So get some eyes on some words
And give the brain a try.
You win some.
You lose most.
But in the end, Solomon said,
It’s vapor in the sky.

So, when to follow up with an employer?

This just happened at the time the video was made. I decided to make the video a little fired up because the arts are all about honesty and honest expression so that’s what you’re getting here.

The same rules of manners regarding the follow up is the same for freelancers as it is for working in the public or private sector. This is it on how to be a professional freelaner.

This is basic stuff. We learned this in kindergarden. I hope you learn something from this video, especially if you’re new to the freelancing world.

Authortube: A.P. Fuchs Superhero and Monster Writer Launched!

Did a pile of work this weekend, one of which was sending CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS off to press. If all goes to plan, it’ll be out June 1, 2024.

In the meantime, I’ve been doing a lot of Authortube videos so I decided to make an official playlist for them for you to enjoy. I also took the time to link one video to the next to ensure a smooth viewing experience. Please click the graphic above to be taken to the playlist. Also be sure to subscribe because there are plenty of Authortube videos coming, including a separate series on writing basics, the goal being that if you get the basics down as your foundation, everything else is just finer-point details going forward. Plus, if you understand the basics of writing–in this case, fiction–then it’ll save you a pile of headaches and frustration later come the revision process. It’ll also help ensure a quality book instead of the stuff being released today where writers don’t even understand the basics of writing and rush right into publishing.

Anyway, these Authortube videos are meant to get your head in the right space for creativity, the publishing business, and the craft in general.

Today we layed my grandmother to rest.

This was my tidbit on Facebook about it yesterday:

“Morning. Tomorrow morning we lay my grandmother to rest. She had passed over a year back but due to timing and other factors, she will be laid to rest tomorrow. I like the idea of one’s final resting place. My faith aside, just knowing that at one point I’m going to be lying in a box surrounded by cushion and going to bed for the last time is comforting. Sort of a well-earned sleep. (At least, the goal is to make it well-earned.) So for tomorrow, I’m genuinely happy. My grandmother gets to go to bed for the last time and have her well-earned sleep. Good for her.”

Roses and ashes. Rest well. See you again one day.

Superman and Lois Flying Funko Pop! Showcase

The iconic scene from SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE hits the Funko Pop line as this wonderful and romantic set of two Funko Pops of Superman and Lois enjoying a flight together. Hmmm . . . I wonder if she’ll start interally monologuing?

I had to get this set. SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE was a massive part of my childhood and Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder are my favorite Superman and Lois duo. I got to meet Margot in real life prior to her passing. Have a picture of us. She was a very nice lady and I’m sorry she has left us.
