Every task is being done in increments because I’m tiring easily.
I’d opt for a day off, but since I’m an extremely boring person with little interest in anything outside of making books and comics, we’ll do what we can to keep the machine running until a full recovery is made.
Just pinned down the paper for the Fredrikus No. 1 cover on the drawing board, and all penciled and inked buffer pages just need a short review before scanning.
Welcome to Thursday, where we’ve been up since early due to a headache and an upset stomach. However, we are in the chair anyway because there are only so many word games from his pocket computer a guy can take.
Not sure what the day is going to look like. I think Plan A is to just work and see how long I last.
What you see above is a panel from Fredrikus, with the lettering in process. This is the last page I need to finish lettering before loading the current batch of strips into the computer for the next phase.
Busy working on Fredrikus. We’re lettering right now. Initially, I wasn’t sure how I was going to letter the thing then, after some deliberation, decided it’ll be done by hand, so we’re going over the pages and adding the words.
All is still on track for a timely release.
I also shot a new YouTube video this morning, which will air soon enough.
And, generally speaking, I’m having a pretty good day today so I’ll take the win.
Supply pick-up today so we’ll be popping in and out of the studio as we take care of things at the homestead.
The main work goal for today, however, is working on Fredrikus. I have a timeframe in mind and would like to achieve it.
I also uploaded a new video to YouTube this morning that showcases my Superman metal lunch box collection. Please go here to check it out. Please also advise if there is any trouble with the video because YouTube was acting up today.
Just working and making comics. Who you see above is part of the Fredrikus storyline and more about this character will be revealed when the strip airs.
This week’s comic-making schedule is roughly mapped out and, so far, we are on track for a timely release.
We’re also soon going to be entering a production era here at Axiom-man Central. Lots of work is more or less ready to start going through the production machine, with the ultimate end game being to get these things into your hands.
Almost there.
And, as always, my door is open for any questions.
This is your station identification for April 24, 2020.
I am . . .
. . . A.P. Fuchs. I’m a writer, artist, and freelancer in the worlds of books and comics. This is Canister X, my official web presence and the Realm of Heroes and Monsters, where we attempt to entertain and inform you on a regular basis.
I’ve been at this publishing game for 20 years and I still have plans.
My Patreon page is here. It’s a special place where I post serial novels, essays on the creative arts business, behind-the-scenes secrets, and more. Join me and my other patrons and be a part of something entertaining and interesting with consistent content.
Soon, I’ll be launching my webcomic, Fredrikus. Go here and bookmark the page to get in on the ground floor for when this strip debuts.
On Saturdays, I send out my newsletter, The Canister X Transmission. It’s a weekly newsletter where we all come together after a busy week, unwind, regroup, and kick off the weekend. Presently, we are finishing off The Long Year Five, and Year Six will start before the first half of 2020 is over. Join us.
We’re working on a schedule shift here where I start my day a little bit later because I find I function better after the mid-morning hours. However, I also was just having coffee and decided to upload the second-to-last chapter of Gigantigator Death Machine to Patreon so my readers there got this week’s update bright and early. If you’re not reading Gigantigator Death Machine, please do. One more chapter to go and the book is done. Once complete, it will remain on Patreon while we start up the second serial novel in a few weeks.
The plan for the day is to make comics. We’re gaining a ton of ground on Fredrikus. While the drawing is going on, so are other behind-the-scenes items so that come launch, all the necessary ducks are in a row.
I suspect my work schedule is going to shift for a short season at that time so I can spend my days doing the necessary Web stuff to get this all going. That said, creating will drop to second tier as these roll out so I can properly get them out from the studio and into the world.
Formal announcements to occur around the time of the launches.
Regularly check back here on the blog to stay in the loop. My door is also open if you have any questions about these upcoming project launches.
