Let’s travel back in time to my first YouTube video when I relaunched the channel in September of 2019. I had a channel prior to that but had minimal content. Nothing as vast as it is now.
But hey, we grow and things take time. This unboxing video is special because the box contains the first arrival of the Special Limited Hardcover Edition of AXIOM-MAN/AURORAMAN: FROZEN STORM straight from the printer.
This book is almost sold out and is the ONLY limited edition (especially lettered) superhero novel on the market.
Be a part of history. Check out the video then check out the book. Yes, a little pricey, but only 26 copies of these guys exist on Planet Earth. That’s it. Signed by both authors.
If you’re a reader of my newsletter you’ll know that I’m booked to table in Artist Alley at the Winnipeg Comiccon on October 25 to 27, 2024 at the RBC Convention Centre downtown. It’s a huge show and I’m excited to take a part in it after taking some breathing room from doing shows.
I also have a couple other conventions I’d like to lock down for this year but am still investigating. Some local book signings would be nice, too, but one thing at a time.
In the mean time, yeah, Winnipeg Comiccon 2024 appearance this fall.
Last week I finished CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS, but if you’re a reader of my newsletter, you get advance news so those guys already know about it. It is a book of text and photos, my first in that regard. The next closest thing would be CANISTER X COMIX No. 3, in which photos were used instead of art for the panels.
This one is set for a spring release, looking at late March or early April. Date to be determined.
AXIOM-MAN/CRIMSON CLOAK: SCARLET SYNERGY comes first. (Presently with the editor.)
Gonna be a good year for books. Lots of things planned and, as you can already see, we got 2024’s first two releases already lined up. Are you caught up on everything?
This time we’re across the city and scoping out a Walmart I visit maybe once every two years, if that. Let’s see what they have by way of action figueres, superheroes, hotwheels, and playing cards.
Join me and let’s shop! And, yes, I got my kilometers-to-miles backwards in the video. It was early. Really early. My brain wasn’t 100% online yet.

REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS: S01EP22 –
Guardian
In today’s episode, A.P. Fuchs gets into the Zack Snyder cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE and how it’s the third part of an introductory trilogy to the, at the time, DCEU. Fuchs goes over MAN OF STEEL, BATMAN V SUPERMAN: THE ULTIMATE EDITION, and Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE and how they all interconnect and make bold moves to tell a giant story in a way not completely typical of superhero films.
After, Fuchs zips into story time, which holds its own watchful hero.

Canister X Mailbag – Super Powers Flashpoint Batmanand Tim Drake Robin Unboxing – 01122024
Finally, I own the dynamic duo. Kind of. If you know Flashpoint Batman’s storyline, we’re not talking your usual Batman. As for Robin, Tim Drake is my favorite and in this particular costume so I’m thrilled to have him as part of my Super Powers action figure collection from McFarlane Toys.
Zombie Fight Night: Battles of the Dead City Book Spotlight
In 2027 A.D., the Zombie Apocalypse took the world by storm and no one was prepared. Countless lives were lost as humanity battled to regain control of their planet. Eventually, they did, and out of the ashes of fallen civilization rose a new world, one bent on revenge against the hordes of the undead that took everything from them.
Enter Tony Sterpanko, entrepreneur extraordinaire who found a way to capitalize on humanity’s thirst for vengeance against the zombie. He created Zombie Fight Night, a worldwide craze where the undead men and women who remained from the apocalypse faced off against people and beings that once existed on Earth or were existing for the first time.
It is ten years later and at Blood Bay Arena, fortunes are won and lost. Men are made millionaires over night. Others are not so lucky and find themselves broken and destitute.
Mick Chelsey is one such man: gambling addict, lousy husband and Zombie Fight Night fanatic.
Except now, in order to still watch the fights and try to win back all he’s lost, he needs to bet fast and big otherwise death will come for him.
Let the battles begin.
Zombies fight Bigfoot, werewolves, vampires, Axiom-man, Bruce Lee, samurai, kickboxers, robots and more in this ode to blood-and-guts action from Blood of the Dead author, A.P. Fuchs.
You ready to get it on?

The Canister X Transmission: TinyLetter Archive About to be Gone
As you know, we had to change newsletter services about a month or so back since MailChimp decided to pull the plug on TinyLetter. This is the original blog post.
MailChimp sent out a reminder email the other day to everyone using the TinyLetter service that the archive and accessibility to one’s account is going up in flames at the end of February 2024 so a person had best get going on exporting their reader list otherwise you’d have to build from the ground-up again. Fortunately, we already took care of our newsletter problem and if you’d like to join us, you can do so here.
As for THE CANISTER X TRANSMISSION TinyLetter archive, this will only be avilable until the end of next month so if you’d like to read as many issues as you want (except for the past five or six newsletters as they were sent via MailerLite), you need to do so before then and can go here to read them. Enjoy.

“On the Fly” Unboxing – 01112024
I’ve been a fan of Harvey Pekar ever since I watched AMERICAN SPLENDOR all those years ago. It’s my comfort movie for a lot of reasons, one of which is simply the ability to relate to Harvey and his battle through life. He wrote comics about the everyday stuff. And they were good. I have quite a few graphic novels of his outside of AMERICAN SPLENDOR and Harvey always delivers.
You need to check him out, especially if you’re big into comics. It’s mandatory reading.
NOT THE ISRAEL MY PARENTS PROMISED ME by Harvey Pekar and JT Waldman on Amazon.
ON THE FLY by Harvey Pekar and Summer McClinton on Amazon.
