Authortube: How to Write Your Back Cover Synopsis | 3 Easy Steps

Most writers complain when it comes to part of making a book where the back cover synopsis has to be written. Plenty of writers struggle with writing it . . . but it doesn’t have to be that way because, in truth, it’s a basic process. Case in point: If you’re able to sum up your book in one to four words as a title, it’s guaranteed you can sum up the same but just a little more loosely.

Follow these three simple steps and you’ll be writing your back cover synopsis with ease.

Realm of Heroes and Monsters: Story Time Podcast Now on Patreon

It’s a work-in-progress but all episodes of the REALM AND HEROES: STORY TIME podcast with A.P. FUCHS are now being uploaded to Patreon with free access to all. The feed also syncs with Spotify, if that’s your podcast venue.

It’ll take a bit to upload them all but we’re making steady progress. The watch/listen version is already there but I wanted the purely audio version there as well since, well, that’s what podcasts are: audio. I’m just really glad the Story Time Podcast is now on Patreon.

Status Report – 061824

Status Report – 061824:

We’ve been busy behind the scenes here at Axiom-man Central. Here’s a rundown of what’s currently going on this superhero year:
- AXIOM-MAN: THE SUMMONING: About 1/3 complete with plans to finish mid-July then move on to AXIOM-MAN: TRANSFORMATIONS.
- Axiom-man in-house collectibles for direct order and conventions and signings: Playing cards – in and done. Stickers – in and done. Special high-end-soon-to-be-revealed Axiom-man collectible – in production with an ETA at Axiom-man Central of approximately two weeks.
- Blog/website coding upgrade: In process but gaining ground.
- YouTube offerings: Set for the week.
- Patreon: New material being slowly added for future postings.
- In-house book stock: Under inventory review with the mind to get in copies of the first half of the year’s releases in July plus any additional stock I might need.
- Secret FREDRIKUS project: Slowly coming along. Very slowly.
- Freelancing: Two projects in the pipeline
That’s about all my headspace can handle at the moment for immediate work. There are some other up-in-the-air items as well, but those are in a floating-in-the-ether stage without any firm landing point.

All we can do is focus on the above, get it done, then continue.

A lot of authors feel overwhelmed when it comes to book cover creation. Whether you hire it out or do it yourself, you know that a good cover will potentially lead to a book’s success. What is a good book cover? What makes one cover stand out from the one next to it? What’s the most important part of a book cover? The image or graphic? The colors?

In this video, 25-year self-publisher A.P. Fuchs reveals the one word that makes or breaks a book cover. One word with three parts. Watch and see. It’s very simple. If you use this one word as your engine for your cover, you will have a good cover.
