This time we went out to a variety of stores including specialty comic book shop Galaxy Comics, WalMart, and Dollarama. Got some cool finds including the Mandalorian, a Dodge Viper, Batman 1989 and his batmobile, and the Man in Black, the Dread Pirate Roberts from the PRINCESS BRIDE!

Galaxy Comics – Free Comic Book Day Appearance

Once again, the gracious folks over at Galaxy Comics are hosting a creator showcase the same day as Free Comic Book Day (May 6). I’ll be there this Saturday not only checking out the free comics and emptying my subscription box for my take-homes, but also tabling on the second floor with superhero and monster books, and possibly some art. Other great Winnipeg creators will be there as well.

Please come down and join us as we celebrate a medium we love so much and discover new art and comics you might have never seen before.

Galaxy Comics is located at 200-1109 Henderson Highway here in Winnipeg.

Free Comic Book Day – Galaxy Comics Creator Showcase Appearance

On May 7 from 10 – 5pm I’ll be at Galaxy Comics here in Winnipeg as part of their annual local creator showcase that takes place on Free Comic Book Day. This will be the third year they’re doing it and a third time for me.

Some local creator friends will also be there, but I don’t have the final list so can’t share, unfortunately. Regardless, it’ll be a good time. It’s a nice intimate setting. I was told maybe 8-10 tables, so a mini-con, in a way. We’ll be on the upstairs level of the store.
