REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS: S02EP21 Season Two Podcast Finale –
Mr. Jitterbones
Episode 21: Mr. Jitterbones – It is 1889, one year after the Ripper murders plagued London’s East End. It’s Hallowe’en and homeless man Jack McClay is preparing to hand out treats to the poor children that wander the city streets. But like last autumn, something sinister lurks in the dark, and this particular creature is out for one thing: blood, and it doesn’t care where it gets it. The creature appears . . . and it’s all skin and bones. Clik-clakity-clak-clak. Mr. Jitterbones has arrived.
This is it! Welcome to the Season Two finale of the Realm of Heroes and Monsters: Story Time podcast with A.P. Fuchs. That’s two seasons in the can. Done and done. But none of it could have been done without you, dear listener, so thank you.
It’s my sincere hope you enjoyed this second season of short stories, both creepy and heroic. Monsters and heroes reign supreme here so I hope you were satisfied with what was delivered.
If you’re just tuning in now or have been sporadically throughout this past season, please go ahead and take a look at all previous episodes and pick out some that tickle your fancy and have a listen.
To celebrate the end of Season Two, this is an extended episode and there is a very special performance after the credits so stick around for that. If you’re into the Spoken Word artform, you’ll dig it.
Thank you again for tuning in this season. It is much appreciated, and don’t worry, there is more to come . . . in Season Three.
Yours,
A.P. Fuchs

There’s also a special tip on Return On Investment (ROI) and a reference to Harlan Ellison. Important stuff. Tune in.
Thanks.

Reflections of the Living Dead
Episode 20: Reflections of the Living Dead – Mary loved Daniel. The problem is, Daniel drowned a year ago. Now, on the dock, gazing into the water, Mary notices his reflection. Is she going mad? Is she so desperate to see her dead husband that she’s imagining things? Or is Daniel really there in the water needing her help? Mary reaches in and . . .
As we edge toward the end of season two of the Realm of Heroes and Monsters: Story Time podcast, author A.P. Fuchs offers a zombie story, a special one, one of the heart but also one made into a limited-edition chapbook back when chapbooks were popular. As well, Fuchs gives a little insight into the upcoming finale of this season’s podcast so tune in for that.
Thanks for listening to this week’s episode. Enjoy!

Funko Friday: Superman and Batman and He-Man Fusion Funko Pops
What we have here are two very special figures. Technically three, if you count one of them twice. The Superman and Batman amalgamation done by DC Comics (which they do now and then with the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight) looks amazing. There is an action figure counterpart from McFarlane Toys so that’s on the list as well.
And finally, oh so finally, this Funko Pop collector got himself a Masters of the Universe He-Man, power sword and all. He looks fantastic and I’m thrilled to have him alongside his Funko Pop pin.
Shorts and reels were done for these two Pops but I wanted to a Funko Friday with them as well.

World Were II
Episode 19: World Were II – A father. A son. A bunker with bombs going off overhead. World War 2. One of them is a werewolf.
Welcome to the show! After taking a quick few funny jabs at the Prairies here in Canada, host A.P. Fuchs immediately gets into it and invites you to a story that involves some elements of a dark chapter in his family’s history . . . but with werewolves! The Story Behind the Story gives a little history on Fuchs’s background and his family’s involvement with the horrors of World War 2.
As a special segment this episode, after the credits A.P. Fuchs makes a stand against AI writing and art and calls it for what it is: theft.

Authortube: AI Writing and Art is Stealing, End of Story
The video based on this article. Please share this important message.
As writers and artists, it’s either we speak up now or we screw ourselves going forward. This is my effort to speak up. Up to you regarding what you do but I strongly urge you to start making noise right away because otherwise the next thing you’ll know, the publishing industry will be even more doomed than it is already is.
The choice is yours.

Funko Friday: Super Mario Bros 3D-World PCP Pops! (Mario and Luigi)
Super Mario Bros. time! We’ve got Mario and Luigi in PCP Pop form! Yes, not Funko Pops! but PCP Pops! All is explained in the video, but either way, it’s fun to have this little bit of 3D Mario World in my collection.
I grew up with these guys. Well, not personally. Well, kinda. Many hours were logged in front of that old first generation Nintendo system. So much fun! And my mind was blown when Nintendo 64 came out. Mario World was never the same after that.

Landfill Buffet
Episode 18: Landfill Buffet – A man awakens in a forgotten corner of a garbage dump with a massive refrigerator pinning him from the waist down, trapped. The stench. The disease. The putrid stink of rotting trash. Worse, he’s not alone. Something squeaks . . . and it isn’t a mouse.
Shaking things up a bit, in this episode Fuchs gives a horror story with killer rats and no way out. All it takes is a nibble for them to get a taste for human flesh. A fun horror story and a nice switch-up from your standard monster stories. Fuchs gives a little insight into the tale in Story Behind the Story then has a special message just for you, dear listener, after the credits.
Thanks for tuning in to this shadowy, smelly tale of desperation.
