Just a simple thank you to those who have been supporting my poetry book, CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS. It means a lot that a book of verse and rhyme are catching peoples’ interest.
Of course, poetry had to lose out to superheroes and monsters, but who doesn’t love METAHUMANS VS THE UNDEAD?
“A.P. Fuchs’ s Caught in Black Headlights highlights life things, all sorts of things, with a wondrous and unrelenting discernment and a brilliant sense of lyricism.” – John Urbancik, author of Annabel Lee, in Shadow
All right, World, This is how it’s going to be: Rhymes and verse Melodies rehearsed Across life’s rocky sea.
Listen up, Folks, This is how we’re going to play: Thoughts and comments, Displays of indominance, Making the rounds all day.
Read a poem, maybe two, Pick three if you wish to dare. Ramblings and coherence, Sometimes jots of incoherence Anything for poetic flare.
So get some eyes on some words And give the brain a try. You win some. You lose most. But in the end, Solomon said, It’s vapor in the sky.
Enjoy and explore, Please do, I implore. Let’s talk about life bizarre ‘Cause it’s pretty complex stuff Said Harvey Pekar.
For more poetry like Caught in Black Headlights, please consider Still About A Girl, a poetry collection of song and verse, love and loss, pain and gratitude.
We’re all set. Everything’s on track. My new poetry collection about the truths of life, CAUGHT IN BLACK HEADLIGHTS, should be out end of May/early June (depending how fast the distributor processes everything).
The above image is not the actual cover but just a snippet to whet your appetite.
I’m excited about this one. It’s dedicated to the late Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip.
He wrote a lot about life. Told a lot of stories. This collection is meant to honor that legacy and practice.
Maybe somewhere Gord is proud. Or maybe he’d ask me what the heck do I think I’m doing. Har har.

Sometimes all you have left is a memory, a time when you found yourself, lost yourself, found yourself again . . . in someone else. And sometimes they leave you anyway, but in the end what they’ve given to you is more than what you could have ever asked for. And though they’re gone you have lived because of them and become so much more. You have experienced what most go through their whole lives without, that four-letter word that impacts the world greater than anything else.
Love.
This a poetry book that will touch your heart and your soul.

The Way of the Fog and Still About a Girl Returning to Life
A long time ago I wrote an epic fantasy (253k words) called THE WAY OF THE FOG: VOLUME ONE OF THE ARK OF LIGHT. It came out in hardcover only. That hardcover is returning. As for paperback and eBook versions, I’ll have to figure something out because the core files were lost in The Great Computer Crash of 2010. I have some ideas on how to recover the files, but it’ll take some time.
As well, my poetry book, STILL A ABOUT A GIRL, is returning to print. It was my third poetry collection and came out early in my career. No reason to not have it out there again. It’s a collection of poems about love and loss and how it changes you.
Stay tuned for more news as these projects return.
In the meantime, lots of books to choose from both here and at Amazon to keep you reading company. Thanks.
