This vampire Nightwing was bought on a deal and is my first superhero-monster hybrid action figure from the DC versus Vampires toy line. Very cool. As well, using some Christmas money, I picked up CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS Part 3 as the first two installments were also Christmas presents. Finally, we got the M3 Pro battery for MetaQuest VR. This is a belated Christmas gift to my kids due to some mix-ups over the holidays.

These are all cool items. There’s a vampire Superman on the to-buy list but this collector is waiting for the right time to purchase. This Nightwing figure will definitely be featured in a short reel for a closer look.

Canister X Mailbag – Superman 1978 Page Punchers Action Figure Unboxing – Jan312025

This Superman 1978 Page Punchers action figure was on pre-order and, unfortunately, it sold out before they could get to my order. So I kept an eye on the listing and eventually it was available again, and not only that, it was on sale for a decent amount. I placed my order and the next day the price went back up to retail so I’m happy about the savings. Kind of reward for having to wait for fresh stock.

I’m so glad DC Comics is carrying on Christopher Reeve’s Superman legacy with the Superman 1978 comic book. The man did a lot for humanity both on and off the screen so deserves to be remembered. Besides, he was the Man of Steel from my childhood so will always have a special place in my heart.

This action figure is colored like a comic book because that’s the point of it: Creating a figure from off the page. McFarlane Toys did an excellent job. Even the face looks like Christopher Reeve. Well done!

I’m really pumped to have this.

Canister X Mailbag – Nightwing 12″ Action Figure Unboxing – Jan312025

This 12″ Nightwing action figure was a bit of a trick to get, as you will see in the video. The first time around, Amazon got the order wrong and sent the wrong figure. I was hesitant to try again, thinking maybe the folks in the warehouse had only the Stealth Armor Nightwing (which looks almost identical) instead of this regular one so were sending that as “good enough.” Well, “good enough” doesn’t work for this collector so a gamble was taken and, fortunately, it was a win.

This figure now matches my other, which is Nightwing in his red and black outfit. It’s the same figure, just with a different color, but I’m a completist on certain things so had to have both. I’m sure my fellow Wingnuts would understand.

As per usual, we had a SUPER Christmas. I’m the easiest guy to shop for because of my love of Superman and comics. Just throw a few toys and a couple super movies my way and we’re good.

This year we got:
- Superman S logo napping blanket
- Superman Max Fleischer variant Super Powers action figure
- Action Comics Superman action figure from McFarlane Toys
- Batman and Robin Hot Wheels Batmobile
- Playing Card Hot Wheels King Kuda
- Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 1 and 2
I’m very blessed and very thankful. Hope you had a good Christmas as well.

There was one particular item I was after this trip to Dollarama and that was getting Princess Buttercup. I have the Dread Pirate Roberts and he needed his princess. We also happened across a few other goodies at a couple other local places, namely the Toony Comic Superman for cheaper than Amazon (who screwed up the order thrice) and a Wave 1 Super Powers Flash action figure. Then, of course, hotwheels because them diecast cars are what we collect around here.

So, the toy haul:
- The Flash (McFarlane Super Powers Wave 1)
- Princess Buttercup (McFarlane)
- Toony Comics Superman
- An El Camino
- A couple Day of the Dead muscle cars
I don’t do trips like these often, but when I do, I always make sure everything is obtained at a deal.

This was a good collectibles shopping trip. It happened to be one of those occasions where everything was on sale. Yeah, it involved a little bit of indulgence of the wallet but these are action figures I would have bought at some point anyway and, when that point would come, might be stuck paying full price or more for so had to take advantage of the sale.

Good stuff. This fanboy is happy now.

Nightwing has always been a favorite hero of mine and is second to Superman. I got into Nightwing back in 1995 and haven’t looked back since. Everybody’s favorite Dungeons and Dragons horror monster show figures are here! We have the entire set of Stranger Things figures, Target-exclusive editions. We have Will, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and, of course, Eleven. Oh, and a piece-it-together demigorgan, too.

Very cool figures based on the show from Netflix. I especially like these were Target-exclusive action figures and we no longer have Target here in Canada. Sweet.
