Canister X Mailbag – Superman Kingdom Come Page Punchers Unboxing – May012025

When the Kingdom Come version of Superman was first introduced in the comics famously painted by artist Alex Ross, everyone loved the Man of Steel’s future supersuit. It’s been a staple in comics since and is also the source for the S in James Gunn’s Superman movie.

Kingdom Come Superman was also portrayed by Brandon Routh in Crisis on Infinite Earths in the CW adaptation (which wasn’t an actual adaptation of Kingdom Come comic but did use this version of Kal-El as a multiverse variant). Was happy to see Brandon don the suit again. I wish he had a chance to have his time in the sun but, unfortunately, Superman Returns was poorly written and didn’t do as well as hoped. But Routh was indeed a good Superman.

Anyway, here is McFarlane Toys’s Page Punchers Kingdom Come Superman complete with action figure and comic book.

This Superman 1978 Page Punchers action figure was on pre-order and, unfortunately, it sold out before they could get to my order. So I kept an eye on the listing and eventually it was available again, and not only that, it was on sale for a decent amount. I placed my order and the next day the price went back up to retail so I’m happy about the savings. Kind of reward for having to wait for fresh stock.

I’m so glad DC Comics is carrying on Christopher Reeve’s Superman legacy with the Superman 1978 comic book. The man did a lot for humanity both on and off the screen so deserves to be remembered. Besides, he was the Man of Steel from my childhood so will always have a special place in my heart.

This action figure is colored like a comic book because that’s the point of it: Creating a figure from off the page. McFarlane Toys did an excellent job. Even the face looks like Christopher Reeve. Well done!

Welcome to the first shorts and reels for Bludhaven’s protector! Seven showcase videos showing off awesome Nightwing action figures from across various toy lines.

Nightwing has always been a favorite hero of mine and is second to Superman. I got into Nightwing back in 1995 and haven’t looked back since. Interestingly, there was a hero on Krypton named Nightwing. That’s a whole other storyline to discuss so perhaps in another video. Until then, please enjoy these wicked Nightwing videos and dive deep into these superhero action figures.
