Episode 30: Odd Hunting – A caveman is trapped traveling through time to a destination he might not want to arrive at.

This is it! The season finale of Season One of THE REALM OF HEROES AND MONSTERS: STORY TIME with A.P. FUCHS podcast! 30 episodes! 30 stories! (Well, actually, 31 because this episode is a DOUBLE!)

To kick of the show, Fuchs gives the background as to the whole superheroes and monsters thing and why those are the main two genres he writes in which, in turn, are the stories shared with you. The answer might surprise you.

Fuchs then gives a quick pep talk on the artist’s voice (any craft) prior to delivering a SECOND tale for this final episode. This one is a personal story and one from way back in Fuchs’s career.

And, of course, as always, stick around until after the credits for a quick special something.

In this episode, Fuchs dissects the word “superhero” and what that really means and if that label applies to every hero out there. Episode 25: The Text – A texting-based communication between X and J prior to a secret mission.

In this episode, A.P. Fuchs talks superhero motivations and what those really look like and how it can be a challenge for creators to come up with a plausible and believable motivation for their heroic character. Supervillains get a little more leeway because they’re generally crazy or have some kind of disorder, but the superhero motivation is looked at and ends with a summarizing statement Alan Moore once said regarding superhero motivations. After that, Fuchs gives a quick update on where his books are at in the publication process then heads right into story time, which is an experimental piece of flash fiction told in texting back-and-forth format.
