    So I’ll see you later.
    …
    …
    …
    More?
    Okay.
Actually, it’s time for a break as I’ve been going hard working 6 days a week (sometimes 7), averaging 6-10 hours a day. Lots of writing and publishing have already gone on this year and my schedule from now until the end of 2011 is jam-packed with all kinds of projects, some simple, some much more ambitious. In order to give the second half of the year as hard a push as the first, it’s time for me to pull back, chill out, spend some time with family, get some sleep and just plain do nothing.

Blogging will be very sporadic between now and July 18th (when I get back online), so still check back here at Canister X as something might pop up on here between now and then.

Also, Coscom Entertainment and its imprint Torn Veil Books have loads to choose from by way of summer reading. Please visit these sites and grab some titles that are unique, thrilling, touching and more. Everything we do is available in paperback and eBook at affordable prices.

Hope everything has a great start-of-summer. See you when I log back in in July.

Recently, VampireBooks.ca did an interview with me. Now that interview is live on their site. We talk about the need to create, my number one advice for writers, a comment to readers, what time of day I feel most creative, and more.

The interview can be accessed here.

    Thanks.

Had some special guests come over for my kid’s birthday this weekend.

I’m just not sure if it was for his benefit or for mine.

Thanks to the amazing work of C.J. Jutchinson and Jesus Morales, here is the cover art to the paperback and eBook editions of Zomtropolis due out later this year, probably Fall.

The book, once published, will be a different version than the one I’m currently running for free on this website as things will go through the wringer/revision stage prior to press.

Regardless, this is one cool cover and it captures not just the ravaged city of Zomtropolis perfectly, but also how undead girls can drive you mad and break your heart.

Yesterday I went hunting for the files to The Fade comic book so I could post them here for you. Turns out I don’t have them anymore. What happened was a week or two ago, our desktop got all screwed up and the files for it were in there. I didn’t have a backup, and the backup I thought I had were for a system “image” as opposed to the actual files. If I uploaded the system image, Windows would basically replace my current system with one from 3/4 of a year ago.

I do have access to The Fade files thanks to the awesomeness of online publishing, but it’ll take me a bit to retrieve and prep them for you.

Sorry. I honestly thought I had what I needed.

As an attempt to make it up to you, I stumbled upon this movie at the store the other day. I didn’t know they made another cool VS-flick like this. I didn’t buy it, but I do want to see it.

I give you the Mega Python vs Gatoroid trailer.

…I’m going to give you a free comic book right here at Canister X. One page a day for 20 days or so. It’s an experimental comic called The Fade, told with black-and-white photos, the story in captions.

Just need to dig it out of the archives so the first page will go up either sometime later today or starting tomorrow.

    Hope you like it.

  • Bigfoot War 2: Dead in the Woods by Eric S. Brown is Now Available!

The first Bigfoot War book took the cryptozoological horror world by storm. Now Eric S. Brown unleashes his follow-up, Bigfoot War 2: Dead in the Woods, with faster, meaner, more terrifying bloodthirsty sasquatches unlike any you’ve seen before.

This ain’t no Harry and the Henderson’s remix. This isn’t even like Sasquatch Mountain. We’re talking hordes of lean, mean killing machines covered in hair, with razor-sharp teeth and claws that’ll have you running for the door before you even finish the book.

    The story:

Mere hours after the Babble Creek massacre, the beasts strike again, rampaging across the American Southeast. A small group of survivors in Jackson County, North Carolina, fight to stay alive as things get worse. Bigfoot is everywhere, terrorizing the citizens of Jackson County, tearing them

limb from limb and feasting on their flesh. Even the powerful US military stands in awe as the enormous beasts take their stand against them, going toe-to-toe with some of man’s most lethal technology.

Just when the survivors thought it couldn’t get any worse, death kicks into high gear as the dead begin to rise, hungry for the flesh of the living.

The military, tasked with restoring order and destroying the beasts, now find themselves racing to contain a virus that could mean the end of the human race. Colonel Drake and the small unit of tanks under his command are trapped inside the quarantine zone as the war between man and beast is

    joined by the undead.

The body count rises. Humanity is on the run. The night is filled with terror, the vicious growls of the Sasquatch and the haunting moans of the living dead.

Are you ready to join in the fight?
